How to Save Seedance 2.5 Credits: 5 Ways to Stop Re-generating
Why Seedance 2.5 and Kling credits disappear on re-generated clips, and five checks before you hit Generate: dialogue length, a character sheet, one action per shot, small tests and smart reuse.
Where do the credits go?
Mostly into re-generating the same shot. There are three usual reasons:
- The line is longer than the clip, so the voice rushes or gets cut off
- The face or outfit changes from shot to shot
- Too many actions in one prompt, so the staging comes out wrong
You can catch all three before you press Generate.
1. Check dialogue length first
Paste your script into the script checker to see how long each cut runs and which lines overflow the clip. Split or trim those lines. See words per clip for how much fits.
2. Lock the face with a character sheet
Make one character sheet per person and use it as the reference image in every shot. Far fewer re-generations because of face changes. More tips in keeping the same face.
3. One action per shot
Several actions in one prompt get mixed up or dropped. Keep one action and one line per shot. See dialogue prompts.
4. Test small first
For a new character or scene, run one short or lower-quality test if your tool allows it, then do the full generation once it looks right. Catching a problem on the first shot protects the credits for the rest.
5. Reuse good clips
If two clips don’t match perfectly, joining them with Merge clips and covering the gap with subtitles is usually cheaper than generating again.
